PEDRO RIBEIRO VERGANI

her Cv...
Beautiful soft, pastel like images that are digitally painted. Her use of lighting is dynamic and strong.

Can be related back to my bike project. The bottom and top are dark, leaving the centre illuminated and the bike silhouetted.
soft colours at sunset. The rectangles and geometric shapes are minimal but can be recognised as cars, people and buildings.

Illuminated shop front, harsh lighting of artificial light and bright neon colours that light up dark streets.
One of my own images of the Chinese takeaway. They have flashing christmas lights and red neon.

The colours on these works really adds to the buildings and gives a sense of scorching sun, when your eyes bleach out and colours are altered.
Adalberto was "born in Puerto Rico, grew up in New York City where I attended the City University of New York and New York University. I've done theatrical and commercial set design as well as graphic design, and I believe that's reflected in some of my paintings. I am primarily interested in line, geometric shapes, and surface textures often arranged in simple formal compositions. My work sometimes depicts images that consist of flat abstract shapes in representational environments. I like to play with flat surface shapes that imply depth and distance through line. My work will sometimes reveal different styles in one painting smooth gradations, loose brush strokes, and realistic areas. "
